About this role
As part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will lead the voice, technical, and creative strategy for all written and verbal marketing communications. This innovative role involves guiding copy strategy through positioning and tactics to make a positive global impact.
You will work closely with the Creative Director of Copy, UX, and brand design managers to establish on-brand voice and tone. You will cast creative vision, develop messaging strategies, and lead a pod of writers executing on client goals, while managing copy processes and resourcing to ensure consistency.
The role fosters collaboration between copywriters and product strategists to translate complex product information into compelling campaigns. You will encourage brainstorming sessions and champion best practices to prioritize the customer experience across all tactics, leveraging knowledge of competitors and cultural trends.

Requirements
- Proven experience leading copy strategy for marketing communications across digital and print channels, including web, email, and collateral.
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide a team of writers and ensure consistency in voice and tone.
- Ability to establish and maintain on-brand voice and tone in collaboration with UX, design, and brand teams.
- Operational mindset for managing copy processes, resourcing, budgets, and timelines.
- Experience casting creative vision and developing messaging strategies in support of brand identity.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Creative Director of Copy to lead the creative voice as a partner to UX, creative, and brand design managers.
- Cast strong creative vision and develop associated messaging strategies in support of brand identity and business unit initiatives.
- Lead a pod of writers serving various business partners to execute on creative vision and deliver branded creative that maintains high standards.
- Work closely with Content Strategy team to ensure digital content consistency and operational readiness to meet strategic objectives, budgets, and timelines.
- Lead and encourage brainstorming sessions to motivate the team to think creatively for campaign ideation and write technically about product information.
- Continuously evaluate and refine the team’s copy and ability to engage audience by championing best practices and prioritizing customer experience.
- Leverage collective knowledge of company, competitors, and industry trends to inform development of distinctive and innovative creative concepts and copy.
- Manage the full creative journey through copy from planning and messaging strategy to writing, editing, and proofreading the final output.
