Day One Agency—AdAge’s #4 on the A-List—is hiring a Group Creative Director (Art) to join our rising team. The successful candidate is ambitious, curious, and creative—a storyteller at your core who thrives on audience connection regardless of the medium. This full-time role requires a hybrid work schedule in New York City.

You will lead creative projects from ideation through execution, managing every piece in between along with a growing and talented team. Work alongside the Chief Creative Officer to craft the future of Day One and our clients, creating culture-obsessed, beautifully crafted, earned media work. Get hands-on with the work and champion big ideas.

Requirements

  • 13+ years experience leading a design-centric creative team
  • Proven track record of success leading creative projects from ideation to execution
  • Solid foundation in creative leadership within a creative agency
  • Passionate and dedicated

Responsibilities

  • Inspire internal design and studio teams to think differently and elevate their work, including art directors, designers, editors, creators, copywriters, creative strategists, and storytellers
  • Lead by example and get hands-on with the work
  • Champion big ideas and push creative thinking to new places
  • Develop concepts designed to connect with culture
  • Manage and mentor Creative Directors while informing team evolution
  • Execute creative and brand vision for clients and Day One
  • Manage multiple projects, clients, and budgets within deadlines
  • Review and refine briefs, project plans, and staffing to set the team up for success
