About this role
Ashley Digital, the e-commerce engine behind Ashley Furniture Industries, is seeking an experienced Creative Director, Copy & Content to lead and unify the copywriting function across the organization and family of brands. This role sits at the intersection of world-class retail and digital innovation, driving the e-commerce experience for millions of customers.
Reporting to the VP of Brand & Creative, you will oversee the development of a centralized copy team responsible for shaping brand voice, messaging strategy, campaign storytelling, and customer communication across all channels. You will lead a growing team of writers developing compelling, conversion-minded, and brand-right messaging across marketing campaigns, product storytelling, ecommerce, retail, social, email, and executive messaging.
This is a fast-moving, highly collaborative team operating at a transformational moment, charged with shaping how people discover, explore, and buy home furnishings. The team's expertise spans data science, performance marketing, product, and creative, reaching millions of customers every day.
You will play a critical role in building a unified voice system across the organization while helping establish next-generation AI-enabled creative workflows and scalable content systems. Requirements
- Deep expertise in copywriting, editorial storytelling, brand messaging, and team leadership at scale

Responsibilities
- Lead and evolve the voice, tone, and messaging strategy across Ashley and its portfolio of brands
- Build and oversee a centralized copy organization supporting marketing, ecommerce, retail, PR, internal communications, social, and brand storytelling
- Ensure consistency, clarity, and quality across all written communication and customer touchpoints
- Develop and maintain copy standards, voice guidelines, messaging frameworks, and editorial systems
- Partner closely with Creative, Marketing, PR, Ecommerce, Merchandising, HR, and Executive Leadership teams to align messaging with business objectives
- Oversee the development and approval of copy across campaigns, product launches, presentations, and digital experiences
- Help establish next-generation AI-enabled creative workflows and scalable content systems that elevate both quality and speed
