About this role

We are seeking an experienced Art Director with strong conceptual skills and deep hands-on execution experience across print production, direct mail, digital, web, and video. This role sits within our creative team and reports to the Creative Director, supporting high-impact, performance-driven creative for clients in regulated industries including insurance, banking, financial services, and healthcare.

The ideal candidate blends creative thinking with production discipline, understands how design supports outcomes, and translates strategy, data, and messaging into clear, compelling visual solutions across channels. You will collaborate closely with copy, strategy, media, analytics, and production teams to ensure creative work is visually strong, accurate, scalable, and executionally sound.

Day-to-day involves developing visual concepts and design systems for integrated campaigns spanning direct mail, print, digital display, social, web, and video. Lead hands-on design and production for print and direct mail, preparing press-ready files and managing production details like personalization and variable data.

Support digital channels, web, and video through design adaptation, storyboarding, and visual direction while ensuring consistency. Work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment, incorporating feedback and reviewing deliverables for quality, brand adherence, and error-free readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 4–6 years of experience as an Art Director, preferably in an agency or performance-marketing environment
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating print and direct mail design
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating production-ready execution
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating digital and web creative
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating video or motion support work
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe suite

Responsibilities

  • Develop visual concepts and design systems for integrated campaigns spanning direct mail, print, digital display, social, web, and video
  • Translate creative briefs and copy into effective visual executions that align with campaign objectives, audience insights, and brand guidelines
  • Lead hands-on design and production for print and direct mail, including letters, envelopes, inserts, brochures, and other physical formats
  • Prepare press-ready files, ensuring accuracy across layout, typography, color, bleeds, trims, versioning, and printer specifications
  • Design and adapt creative for digital channels including display, paid social, and web
  • Support video and motion projects through storyboarding, layout design, and visual direction
  • Work cross-functionally with copywriters, project managers, strategists, media, analytics, and data teams
  • Review all creative deliverables for accuracy, craftsmanship, and adherence to brand and compliance standards
