The Assistant Media Planner assists in the development of effective, innovative, and strategic solutions while coordinating day-to-day execution of approved media plans.
Day-to-day work includes account maintenance such as billing issues, budget revisions, flowchart updating, competitive analysis, and post-buy analysis. The role produces work that delivers on client goals and gains industry recognition for its creativity and results while evaluating publications, websites, broadcast, and outdoor locations.
Team members work closely with the Media Planner on strategies and POVs, conducting research and evaluating data against client goals. We value sustained commitment to performance-driven environments through collegiate athletics, military service, student organizations, entrepreneurial ventures, or other competitive settings.
Campaign execution covers timely issuance of authorizations, delivery of paperwork to vendors, and preparation of insertion orders. The role reports directly to the Media Supervisor and maintains effective relationships with media vendors.
Requirements
- Demonstrated sustained commitment to performance-driven environments through collegiate athletics, military service, student organizations, work experience, entrepreneurial ventures, or other creative or competitive settings.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of assigned accounts including billing issues, budget revisions, flowchart updating, competitive analysis, and post-buy analysis.
- Evaluates publications, websites, broadcast, outdoor locations, and inventory against audience segments to accomplish client strategic goals.
- Works closely with the Media Planner in the development and direction of media strategies and POVs through research, data evaluation, and point-of-view development.
- Assists Media Planner to ensure proper progression of media buys including timely issuance of client authorizations and delivery of creative assets to vendors.
- Prepares insertion orders and places advertising with media vehicles while performing campaign analysis using external data sources.
- Studies demographic data and consumer profiles to identify desired target audiences and stays abreast of key developments in media usage and trends.
