Bully Pulpit International is an outcomes agency made up of strategists, data scientists, and artists from politics, brands, and government. We seek a detail-oriented Senior Media Buyer to support our TV practice, handling the heavy lifting of trafficking and maintenance. You will transition into active negotiation and buying as you grow with the team.

In this role, you will support execution and management of paid media campaigns across numerous clients on the Paid Media team. You’ll work closely with Media Buyers, Client Services, Media Planning, and Analytics teams to execute successful campaigns. The position suits someone with passion for building a career in digital advertising in an agency setting.

Day-to-day involves buying support like entry, maintenance, and revision of media buys in Freewheel Strata. You’ll compile pre-logs and post-logs, manage trafficking of local and network buys, and ensure creative assets reach vendors on time. Additional tasks include billing assistance and vendor relations.

The ideal candidate is a quick learner comfortable running paid media programs in social media, search, and programmatic platforms. Expect to work from offices in Chicago, DC, NYC, SF, or LA at least 3 days a week. BPI offers sophisticated strategies across strategic communications, public affairs, research, and digital marketing.

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of experience in local broadcast, radio, or cable buying
  • Network buying knowledge is a plus
  • Hands-on working knowledge of Freewheel Strata preferred
  • Familiarity with planning and buying tools such as comScore, SRDS, SQAD, and Extreme Reach
  • Passion for managing or building a career in digital advertising in an agency setting
  • Quick learner comfortable running paid media programs in social media, search, and programmatic advertising platforms

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the entry, maintenance, and revision of media buys within the Freewheel Strata system
  • Compile pre-logs and post-logs for campaigns to ensure delivery and accuracy
  • Manage the trafficking of local and network buys, ensuring all creative assets reach vendors on time
  • Assist the media team with monthly invoicing and financial reconciliation as a point of contact for internal finance and external vendors
  • Assist the team with requests from internal planning and client services
  • Assist in communications with media vendors, including managing new vendor setups
