About this role
This Senior Graphic Designer role is for a beauty/fashion-focused brand, requiring an action-oriented individual who can work independently from concept through final production. The ideal candidate is highly production-savvy and flexible, handling both small and large projects with ease.
Day-to-day responsibilities include graphic design support for product lines, websites, and promotional materials, from packaging layouts to mechanicals and comps. The designer will also write copy for advertising and promotional programs, and develop name and tag lines for new products. Understanding the 2D and 3D process is also part of the role.
The designer works closely with the Art Director and Creative team, but operates without a production assistant, managing the entire process solo. Real-time communication is critical—identifying problems before they escalate and giving/receiving feedback effectively. Experience in beauty or fashion, especially salon business, is highly valued.
Project scope is diverse, ranging from small tasks to large campaigns, allowing the designer to leverage a wide range of skills. This contract role offers the chance to work on high-visibility beauty and retail projects in a hybrid schedule of three days onsite and two remote.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of working experience as a senior designer (not an art director).
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Premiere.
- Strong branding and retail experience.
- Highly production-savvy with a deep understanding of graphic and package design.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with real-time problem-solving ability.
- Experience in beauty, fashion, or salon business is highly preferred.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating concept-to-production work is mandatory.
Responsibilities

- Collaborate closely with the Art Director and Creative team to develop copy and design concepts.
- Understand and apply 2D and 3D processes in design and production.
- Communicate in real time to identify potential issues before they escalate, and give/receive constructive feedback.
- Create animated graphics as needed to enhance promotional materials.
