RKD Group, a direct response marketing and advertising agency, is seeking a Creative Director to achieve breakthrough results that make a positive impact in this world. As an integral part of that mission, you will help hundreds of nonprofits raise billions of dollars to fulfill their missions.

In this role, you lead digital and direct mail work across the agency with primary focus on your specific client group. Your purpose is to inspire clients, Client Experience team members, and Creative team members with strategies, ideas, direction, innovation, and recommendations that produce the most effective fundraising solutions.

Reporting directly to the Executive Creative Director, you maintain a creative practice consistent with RKD practices and direct/mentor full-time creative staff to ensure highest quality output. You must be a proven leader, effective communicator, and exceptional motivator with a proven record of building strong relationships.

This position provides leadership within your client group and the opportunity to develop innovative digital and direct mail creative strategies with impact across the agency. You will also assist in the development of new business pitch materials and stay updated on latest trends in digital marketing and creative storytelling.

Requirements

  • Proven leader, effective communicator, and exceptional motivator with a proven record of building strong relationships.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, conceptual and strategic abilities, and branding and brand building strategy experience.
  • Mastery of fundraising best practices and focused knowledge of digital direct response techniques.
  • Experience leading creative teams and overseeing copywriting and art direction of direct response marketing materials.
  • Ability to inspire clients and team members with strategies, ideas, direction, innovation, and recommendations.
  • Focused knowledge of digital direct response techniques, in addition to some direct mail knowledge.
  • Proven record of developing innovative digital and direct mail creative strategies with impact across an agency.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Group Creative Director to support development of offer-focused, donor-centric, insight-driven digital creative solutions.
  • Conceptualize and develop innovative, best-in-class digital creative solutions reflective of client objectives, target audience, and unique selling propositions.
  • Provide clear and concise creative direction to the team throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, client objectives, and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with clients to understand needs, goals, and feedback, presenting creative ideas and strategies and incorporating their input to refine campaigns.
  • Combine brand-building and fundraising best practices to produce results-oriented creative solutions that build stronger relationships between client organizations and their supporters.
  • Assist Client Experience and Sales in positioning and promoting concepts, strategies, and executions of digital direct response materials to clients or potential clients.
  • Provide creative team member oversight and professional development for both design and copy disciplines, effectively mentoring individuals at varying levels of experience.
  • Travel as requested for sales efforts, creative presentations, client relationship-building, and staff development.
