Ogilvy, a WPP company and the world's #1 agency network for creative excellence, is seeking a Senior Art Director with a sharp aesthetic sense and a deep understanding of the media and digital ecosystem. This role sits within our Public Relations & Influence team, where the focus is on creating ideas that become news and popular culture rather than traditional advertising.

Day-to-day, you will lead the visual design of earned-first campaigns, from high-budget planned initiatives to reactive newsjacking activations that demand rapid conceptualization and fresh visual execution. You will design physical brand stunts, press kits, and digital content that drives organic conversation, press coverage, and social impact.

You will collaborate with a team of experts across advertising, public relations, and relationship design, working seamlessly with influencers and content creators. The environment is fast-paced and timing-critical, requiring both strategic planning and real-time creative agility.

This role offers the opportunity to shape culture-defining ideas for iconic global brands, working within a network that spans over 120 offices in nearly 90 countries. You will grow your craft at the intersection of PR, design, and popular culture, with the support of WPP's cutting-edge marketing platform and data solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the media, digital, and content creator ecosystem, with a focus on lifestyle and culture
  • Proven experience in art direction for PR, earned media, or brand activation campaigns
  • Ability to work with agility on both planned and reactive projects, with a fast turnaround on visual concepts
  • Expertise in designing physical and digital press kits, brand stunts, and experiential activations
  • Deep aesthetic sense and visual storytelling skills, with a portfolio demonstrating earned-first creative work
  • Familiarity with newsjacking dynamics and the ability to propose timely, culturally relevant visual ideas
  • Experience collaborating with influencers, media, and cross-functional creative teams

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and lead the visual direction of earned-first PR campaigns designed to generate organic conversation and press coverage
  • Design physical brand stunts, press activations, and experiential events that create high-impact media moments
  • Create creative press kits—both physical and digital—and produce visually compelling content for digital channels
  • Execute real-time creative and newsjacking, proposing and producing attractive visual pieces when brand timeliness requires it
  • Manage visual storytelling across lifestyle, media, and content creator sectors, ensuring brand consistency and cultural relevance
  • Collaborate with influencers, prescribers, and media partners to amplify campaign reach and engagement
  • Lead the design of high-impact digital content for social media and brand-owned channels
