About this role

Citi is looking for a senior creative leader to direct the vision, strategy, and output of its in-house multi-media agency, shaping marketing communications that reach millions of customers across physical and digital channels.

As Creative Director, Multi-Media at the Senior Vice President level, you will lead a team of Design Leads, Copy Leads, designers, and copywriters, owning the creative direction of high-priority campaigns and ensuring every asset meets brand standards, accessibility requirements, and business objectives.

This role combines strategic influence with hands-on creative leadership, defining and executing the creative vision for custom video, audio advertising, partnership marketing, and creative platform development while overseeing the end-to-end marketing communications approval process.

You will partner with internal stakeholders and external creative agencies to align on best practices, identify new marketing technologies, and champion ADA compliance across all marketing collateral at one of the world's leading global banks.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of experience in a creative or marketing leadership role, with a background spanning copy, design, or multi-media production.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary creative teams, including performance management, hiring, and career development.
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud, with particular depth in After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Audition.
  • Solid grounding in design fundamentals, including typography, color theory, and brand adherence, applied with strategic thinking.
  • Experience advising on and implementing ADA compliance within marketing and creative contexts.
  • Skilled at presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders, with the ability to articulate creative strategy clearly.
  • Prior experience working within an agency environment; in-house agency experience is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to a structured process calendar.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Design Leads, Copy Leads, designers, and copywriters, setting creative direction and fostering a culture of innovation.
  • Define and execute the creative vision for high-priority marketing campaigns, including custom video, audio advertising, and creative platform development.
  • Oversee the end-to-end marketing communications approval process, ensuring all assets align with brand guidelines and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Present creative strategy and campaign impact to senior leadership, translating complex creative decisions into clear business narratives.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external creative agencies to align on best practices and evolving brand guidelines.
  • Identify and implement new marketing technologies and process improvements that increase team efficiency.
  • Champion ADA compliance across all marketing collateral to ensure consistent and accessible customer experiences.
  • Evaluate creative risk and uphold governance standards across all marketing activity.
