About this role
This role is about visually leading brands in the digital space—shaping everything from look & feel to a consistent content DNA. You'll conceive and execute social-first campaigns and always-on formats with clear creative direction and a performance mindset.
Day-to-day, you'll manage productions from low-budget to high-end, including shooting and post-production, while also leveraging AI for image and video creation. You'll create social media guides and template kits to streamline content production and ensure quality standards evolve continuously.
You'll work closely with text and social media management teams, providing creative direction that aligns with brand positioning. As a senior, you'll mentor junior art directors and help build your own creative team within the agency.
This is a chance to grow alongside big and small brands that are managed long-term, not just short-term. You'll have ownership over design standards and the freedom to shape your team, all while working in one of Hamburg's best-located offices in the Schanzenviertel.
Requirements
- Several years of experience as a (Senior) Art Director in a digital environment, ideally at a social media or creative agency
- Strong sense for social media trends, visual communication, and platform-specific content
- Understanding of brand identities and their positioning on social media
- Confident use of common design and content tools, plus enthusiasm for AI
- Experience in planning and executing content productions
- Team-player mentality with a desire to share knowledge and develop others on your own initiative
Responsibilities

- Steer and realize productions from low-budget to high-end, including shooting and post-production supervision
- Create AI-supported image and video content
- Ensure quality and further develop existing design standards
- Build social media guides and template kits for efficient content production
- Collaborate closely with copy and social media management teams
- Mentor and develop junior art directors professionally
