About this role

As a Freelance Senior Designer, you will develop breakthrough creative concepts that translate visually across interactive platforms for web-based marketing initiatives and product launches. You're an original thinker and collaborative leader, matching strategic direction with elegant design solutions for our client's homepage and other platforms.

You'll work closely with creative and technical disciplines while maintaining strong brand principles and systematic design rationale. Your day-to-day involves designing mood boards, storyboards, interactive page layouts, site grids, interface demos, photo retouching, and animated GIFs, as well as creating simple prototypes that convey preferred states, motion, and behaviors for interactive concepts.

You will collaborate with Art Directors, ACDs, and the larger project team to explore concepts and iterate on design layouts, anticipating and solving for potential design challenges and existing conditions. This role requires building and maintaining team rapport with the creative team, technology, account managers, producers, and our client, while visualizing and verbalizing ideas clearly.

This is a full-time, on-site contract position requiring 5 days per week at our Calgary office, running from June 29 through September 25.
