Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis is a leading global communications agency that represents the icons and innovators shaping culture. We are seeking a high-energy, multidisciplinary Account Executive to join our New York City office and drive modern storytelling for consumer brands.
In this role, you will own the daily execution for a roster of 4–6 clients, from active media outreach to securing impactful placements. You will coordinate earned media with social-first content and creator partnerships, ensuring every campaign has a cohesive impact across the cultural spectrum.
We are major proponents of the generalist mentality; we want an AE who is just as excited to pitch a disruptive tech founder as they are to manage a high-profile consumer launch or a social good initiative. You will be the motor that keeps our accounts moving forward, navigating the social zeitgeist and building relationships with national media and digital creators.
This is a role for a modern storyteller who understands that a brand's reputation lives at the intersection of earned media, social ecosystems, and cultural influence. You will have the opportunity to work with global household names while the spotlight stays firmly on those we represent, letting our campaigns and results speak for themselves.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of industry experience with a clear understanding of how to move a story through today's complex media landscape
- A generalist mentality: excited to pitch disruptive tech founders, manage high-profile consumer launches, and support social good initiatives
- Sharp blend of EQ and IQ with the ability to lead daily execution while thinking creatively about a client's full public persona
- Experience building relationships with national media and digital creators
- Proven ability to identify creative windows where clients can authentically join the cultural conversation
- Strong writing skills for drafting pitches, press materials, and briefing notes that capture the attention of editors and digital-first audiences
Responsibilities
- Own the daily execution for a roster of 4–6 clients, including active media outreach and securing impactful placements
- Architect moments by coordinating earned media with social-first content and creator partnerships for cohesive campaign impact
- Manage account stewardship: own agendas, meeting recaps, and activity reports that are meticulous and client-ready
- Provide critical support for media-specific events including press conferences, influencer activations, and red carpets
- Draft creative pitches, press materials, blog content, and briefing notes that translate complex brand missions into persuasive narratives
- Monitor the news cycle and social platforms daily to identify cultural 'vibe shifts' and trending topics for authentic client participation
