About this role

As Creative Lead at Universal Music Group, you will produce the most engaging content for our artist roster, translating creative visions into experiences with real cultural and commercial impact. You will work alongside internal digital, commercial, and marketing teams to deliver official creative deliverables on time and suited to each platform.

Day-to-day, you will plan and execute production of assets, collaborate with artists and their management, and partner with third-party creatives and production houses when needed. You will also contribute insightful ideas to promote label content on digital platforms, ensuring consistency with campaign objectives and platform best practices.

You will be part of a team that values authenticity, boldness, creativity, connection, drive, and insight. You will work side by side with label marketing teams to ensure release goals are serviced by the assets, and you will creative-direct pitch presentations to artists, management, and marketing leads.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the creative direction for some of the world’s most iconic artists and to develop junior team members. You will stay abreast of local and global content marketing trends, exploring new ideas in branding and promotional campaigns to drive growth.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to be a music and culture expert, providing insightful consumer, platform, and industry data.
  • Deep understanding of content marketing trends locally and globally, with the ability to share ideas in brainstorming sessions.
  • Experience exploring new ideas on branding, marketing message, and promotional campaigns.
  • Ability to observe, analyze, and execute on new trends in content marketing and digital platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience liaising with artist management and label teams.
  • Capability to be a strong voice in creative direction for artists signed to the roster.
  • Effective communication skills for transparent and results-driven interactions with internal and external partners.
  • Experience in team management and developing junior creative staff.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the production of official creative deliverables working with internal digital, commercial, and marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with artists, their management, and in-house creative partners to ideate creatives for every project.
  • Partner with third-party creatives and production houses to produce approved creative deliverables, including official release assets and promotional materials.
  • Work side by side with each label’s marketing teams to ensure release goals are serviced by the assets.
  • Deliver organically engaging creative content in a timely manner against the label’s priority list and marketing strategies.
  • Creative direct pitch presentations made to artists, artist management, digital and commercial teams, and marketing leads.
  • Coordinate all internal departmental efforts to ensure the most effective production process and delivery of assets.
  • Develop junior team members and manage budgets for strategic opportunities with partners and communities.
