The VP, Group Account Director acts as the business lead for the agency team, responsible for all facets of assigned client business. This role carries out the client’s vision and ensures proper alignment of resources to deliver great work and client satisfaction.
Day-to-day involves possessing an in-depth understanding of client business issues, industry, competitors, and brands while staying attuned to evolving client needs. Communicate effectively and credibly with senior and executive clients. Passionately defend, grow, and manage key accounts while coauthoring groundbreaking marketing communication plans.
Lead by coaching the account team through all stages of development to ensure work meets client expectations, stays on brand, and aligns with marketing strategy. Actively drive day-to-day development of account and department teams, providing inspiring training and career road maps. Allocate resources effectively, balancing client needs with profitability, and model desired behaviors.
Manage business aspects by creating thought-provoking scopes of work and identifying organic growth opportunities. Partner with strategy to form insights into category, competitive environment, brand health, and customer. Oversee financial health of accounts, including growth, profitability, forecasts, and contract compliance to maximize ROI.
