Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis

New York City, US · Full-time · $85,000 – $105,000

About this role

Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis is a leading global communications agency that represents the icons and innovators shaping culture. We are seeking a strategic, high-performing Senior Account Executive to join our Consumer Technology team, ready to move from executing tasks to owning results.

In this role, you will lead media outreach to secure high-impact features and product reviews across tech, lifestyle, and consumer outlets. You will architect 360-degree campaigns that weave together traditional media relations, social media content, and creator partnerships, while owning the day-to-day workstreams for 4–6 clients.

You will mentor junior colleagues, taking pride in teaching the how and why of PR. You will regularly bring new opportunities to the table, from media introductions to creative ideas that demonstrate our value as strategic partners, leading with high EQ and a calibrated ego.

We believe the best work happens when the spotlight stays on those we represent, flying under the radar by design. If you are driven, intentional, and ready to do good, we are ready for you.

Requirements

  • 4–5 years of PR experience with a focus on consumer technology and brand storytelling.
  • A tech-obsessed mindset with a point of view on which startups are built to last.
  • Ability to translate hardware and software features into human stories that resonate across tech, lifestyle, and creator-led media.
  • Established media network and proven track record of securing high-impact features and product reviews in top-tier publications.
  • Experience managing integrated campaigns that blend traditional media, social media, and influencer partnerships.
  • High emotional intelligence and a calibrated ego, comfortable representing the agency in senior-level rooms while supporting colleagues and client needs.
  • Proven ability to mentor junior staff and take pride in their professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead media outreach, leveraging an established network to secure high-impact features, product reviews, and must-have placements in tech, lifestyle, and consumer publications.
  • Architect and drive 360-degree campaigns that weave together traditional media relations, social media content, and creator/influencer partnerships.
  • Own the day-to-day workstreams for a roster of 4–6 clients, ensuring deliverables are met, junior staff is on track, and senior management is briefed.
  • Produce sophisticated client-ready materials including brand messaging frameworks, press releases, product launch kits, and high-conversion media pitches.
  • Lead the execution of high-stakes activations such as festivals, press screenings, and influencer events, managing everything from invitation strategy to on-site media wrangling and post-event reporting.
  • Mentor junior colleagues, teaching the how and why of PR from drafting the perfect pitch to managing complex project trackers.
  • Regularly bring new opportunities to the table, including media meetings, key introductions, and out-of-the-box creative ideas that show value as strategic partners.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to represent global household names and shape culture at a leading communications agency.
  • A collaborative environment that values mentorship, high EQ, and proactive innovation.
  • Culture that prioritizes purpose and doing good, with a focus on intentionality and impact.
