About this role
The purpose of this role is to provide strategic recommendations and manage all resources to ensure the client's marketing needs are met. The Media Director is viewed as a trusted advisor who understands and articulates client business insights.
Day-to-day activities include leading and monitoring client accounts, proactively identifying new business building insights and opportunities. The role manages the full end-to-end delivery of the service proposition to clients.
This position works with other departments to develop and execute strategies that build the client's business. The Media Director manages, motivates, and develops their team around client objectives and culture.
As a commercial and service owner of the client relationship, the Media Director drives seamless delivery and profitability of the account. They also flag specific cross-sell and upsell opportunities to grow the business.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding and articulating client business insights
- Ability to manage the full end-to-end business on individual clients
- Strong relationship management skills with ownership of client relationships
- Experience in proactively identifying new business building insights and opportunities
- Commercial acumen to drive seamless delivery and profitability of accounts
- Team management skills to motivate and develop a team around client objectives
- Ability to collaborate across departments to develop and execute strategies
- Strategic thinking to provide recommendations that move the client's business forward
Responsibilities
- Manages the business by delivering the service proposition to clients and full end-to-end management of the business on individual clients
- Owns client relationships as per the defined relationship strategy for the client
- Proactively identifies client development opportunities and flags specific cross-sell and upsell opportunities
- Takes commercial and service ownership of the client relationship, driving seamless delivery and profitability of the account
- Manages and motivates the team around client objectives and culture
- Provides strategic recommendations and manages all resources to ensure client marketing needs are met
- Articulates client business insights and leverages them to contribute ways to move the business forward
- Works with other departments to develop and execute strategies that build the client's business
