The VP, Group Account Director acts as the business lead for the agency team, responsible for all facets of assigned client business. This role carries out the client’s vision, ensures proper alignment of resources, and leads the team to deliver great work and client satisfaction.

Day-to-day involves possessing an in-depth understanding of client business issues, industry, competitors, and brands while staying attuned to evolving client needs. Communicate effectively and credibly with senior and executive clients. Passionately defend, grow, and manage key accounts while coauthoring groundbreaking marketing communication plans.

In a collaborative agency environment, coach the account team through all development stages to meet client expectations and stay on brand. Actively drive day-to-day development of account and department teams, providing inspiring training and career road maps. Allocate resources effectively, balancing client needs with profitability, and model specific behaviors.

Growth opportunities include identifying organic growth, managing financial health of accounts, and developing methodologies to enhance performance and profitability. Partner with peers and strategy to form insights into categories, competition, and customers while maximizing ROI. Build strong senior client relationships to propose groundbreaking solutions and facilitate innovation.

Requirements

  • Expertise in market access marketing strategies for life sciences clients
  • Proven leadership in driving agency account teams and department collaboration
  • Keen sense of financial implications and agency profitability management
  • Ability to build strong senior client relationships in payer marketing
  • Strategic insight into category, competitive environment, brand health, and customer voice
