About this role
This Sales Account Executive generates advertising revenue by calling on established agencies and cold-calling new prospects, convincing clients of the merits of television and digital advertising. The role focuses on implementing strategies to consistently grow revenue and exceed revenue goals.
The day-to-day involves making sales calls on existing and prospective clients, maintaining assigned accounts, and developing new accounts. You will prepare and deliver sales presentations while explaining how specific advertising types benefit clients' products or services.
This role works closely with both clients and station personnel to develop advertisements and schedules. You will provide clients with information regarding rates for advertising placement in all media and collaborate on effective advertising placements.
The position offers the chance to establish credible relationships within the local business community. Success in this role leads to exceeding revenue targets and growing a personal client portfolio through consistent implementation of revenue growth strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- Minimum one year’s experience in sales, preferably in the media field
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing the strategies and actions to achieve them
- Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
