We seek a highly motivated VP, Group Account Director with a strategic mind and strong leadership skills. This role drives marketing strategy across all segments, influences multiple or large-scale mid-level client relationships, and manages workload and profitability of assigned business. Note: Requires travel.
Lead development of yearly forecasts with project managers, deliver strategic client presentations and annual brand plans, and master financial tools for well-running accounts. Provide overall staffing to balance client needs and agency capacity while maintaining strong client relationships. Identify and cultivate organic growth opportunities.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 15–20 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or healthcare marketing agency
- Effective presentation, mentorship, and client-facing skills
- Solid understanding of Veeva systems and client requirements
- Master of industry trends and guidelines (e.g., CAN-SPAM, privacy policy)
- Fluent in market research methodology and approaches
- Deep knowledge of category, competitive set, client pipeline, FDA rules/regulations, and brand life cycle
- Excellent understanding of digital marketplace, ad formats, analytics, and multichannel strategy
Responsibilities
- Develop the yearly forecast, working with project manager/operations to predict and adjust month over month
- Lead new business efforts alongside partners and offer growth opportunities to junior account team members
- Provide overall staffing for the department to ensure client need and agency capacity are balanced
- Deliver strategic client presentations, recommendations, and annual brand plans
- Master financial tools and processes for account management and ensure team hones these skills
- Manage and mentor junior team members
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure overall satisfaction with the team and agency
- Identify and cultivate client opportunities and actively seek organic growth
