About this role
As a Digital Account Executive, you will drive revenue by exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets across spot, digital, and new direct business. You will prospect new businesses weekly and build relationships with decision makers through tailored sales presentations.
Your daily responsibilities include preparing and completing sales presentations that incorporate customer needs analysis, research, and creative business solutions. You will follow up on pending business, update CRM activity, and ensure timely closing of accounts.
You will work closely with other departments to create effective promotional sales solutions for clients and pre-sell station audience attributes to agency personnel. Providing exceptional customer service, you will regularly meet in-person with active accounts to present pertinent sales information.
This role requires a thorough understanding of rates, promotions, inventory, and the ability to stay abreast of trends in digital and broadcast advertising. You will attend special events, including remotes and broadcasts, and participate in weekly sales meetings and training to continuously develop your skills.
Requirements
- 2-3 years previous sales, advertising, digital sales, or media experience preferred.
- Knowledge of broadcasting and digital terminology and methodology preferred.
- Ability to understand the features and benefits of advertising and competitive media.
- Excellent written and oral English language communication skills.
- Experience developing presentations for direct-business selling and ability to effectively present.
- High level of initiative and ability to work independently required.
- Not afraid to make cold calls and create new relationships.
- Demonstrate effective negotiation and closing techniques.

- Obtain credit approval for new accounts and assist in the collection process for past due accounts.
