About this role

The CBS, ABC and Fox affiliates on the Central Coast is looking for dynamic Sales Account Executives to develop marketing strategies and advertising solutions for local clients. This role focuses on Broadcast TV and Digital advertising, requiring a creative approach to solving client challenges.

Day-to-day, you will create custom advertising solutions, manage client relationships, and drive new business development and non-traditional revenue generation. You will be expected to leverage TV audience metrics and digital performance data to build compelling proposals.

This position is based in the market area of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, or Ventura, CA, and involves working closely with a team of media professionals. The role requires a valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance, as local travel is essential for client meetings.

Requirements

  • Creative ability to develop marketing strategies and advertising solutions for clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with TV audience metrics.
  • Computer knowledge of PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Previous media sales or sales experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of WideOrbit system is helpful.
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance required.
  • Must be based in the market area of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, or Ventura, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing strategies and advertising solutions for clients across Broadcast TV and Digital platforms.
  • Maintain a strong focus on new business development and non-traditional revenue generation.
  • Utilize TV audience metrics to craft data-driven advertising proposals.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned market area.
  • Manage client accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to execute and optimize advertising campaigns.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations using PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
